DeadlyPG is currently one of the most impressive Fortnite players. While he doesn't dominate leaderboards like Tfue or boast millions of viewers like Ninja, he has been a force to reckon with.

There's a divide within the community between console players and those who prefer using a keyboard and mouse to compete in video games. However, DeadlyPG doesn't use either. Instead, he plays the game using only his voice.

According to Jake Lucky, the star player suffers from muscular atrophy:

"This is DeadlyPG, a Fortnite player who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, with nearly no movement in any of his limbs, so he plays with only voice commands. And still can get more kills than you. Legend."

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the disease is:

"Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a group of hereditary diseases that progressively destroys motor neurons—nerve cells in the brain stem and spinal cord that control essential skeletal muscle activity such as speaking, walking, breathing, and swallowing, leading to muscle weakness and atrophy."

Fortunately, DeadlyPG can still speak, which is exactly how he plays the game. While players like Ali-A and SypherPK push buttons on their keyboards (or controllers) to command their in-game characters to perform certain actions, DeadlyPG does so by speaking.

If he wants a platform, he verbally instructs his in-game character to build one. He can also instruct his character to fire at the enemy, as shown in the clip above where he recorded a Victory Royale.

One might assume that there could be a delay between his voice commands and his in-game character performing a specific action. After all, when engaging in a high-intensity battle in Fortnite, split-second decisions need to be made. There is indeed a slight delay, but DeadlyPG still manages to excel.

He routinely racks up eliminations and victories despite his inability to push buttons, which is considerably faster than sending out voice commands.

DeadlyPG offers inspiration to all Fortnite players

DeadlyPG's story is as inspiring as any in the world of gaming, let alone Fortnite. He hasn't let his disadvantages prevent him from succeeding in the game and achieving his dreams.

He tweeted to his nearly 5,000 followers:

"I hope that my story can provide some inspiration and motivation for others facing challenges in their lives. Remember, you are strong and capable, and you have the power to overcome any obstacle."

He recently recorded a lethal 13-kill solo win, which is the most he has ever had in a game. DeadlyPG is serving as a figure of inspiration to gamers and non-gamers alike, showing that if he can achieve his goals, so can anyone.
