Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 patch notes revealed

Epic Games has officially revealed Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 patch notes. It is everything that OG fans expect to see brought to life in this throwback mode. There will be OG weapons, Named Locations/Landmarks, and Outfits that will all be reminiscent of the golden era of 2017.

Fortnite OG will run through the original initial Seasons of Chapter 1. It will recreate those early days, right down to loot pool changes and feature introductions. The Seasons in Fortnite OG will be shorter than they are in Battle Royale currently, with Season 1 ending on January 31, 2025, at 2 AM ET. Solos and Squads will be available right away, as well as Zero Build.

Several quality-of-life changes that have been added to Fortnite over the years will be present. Building mechanics will be uniform with Battle Royale as it is today, and as far as traversal goes, you’ll be able to sprint, slide, mantle, door bash, and move while healing.

On a side note, some of the rough edges from that era have been preserved, while others have been polished. A good example of this would be that you'll find Reboot Vans. You will also be able to see the glare from a sniper scope, and max building resources are set to 999 and double pump is enabled for Shotguns (for now).

The original map that Fortnite Battle Royale launched in 2017 is also back. Considerable care has been taken to ensure that every tree, Chest, car, and object is right where you remember it as it was. Additionally, in Zero Build, Ziplines and Ascenders have been added to help you get to hard-to-reach locations.

The loot pool for day one of Fortnite OG will be the same as the loot pool was on day one of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 1 Season 1. More items will be unvaulted as Chapter 1 - Season 1 progresses. Here are some of the items/weapons you can expect:

It is time for some serious nostalgia. The Fortnite OG Pass features 45 tiers of retro rewards with a modern twist on classic cosmetic items and Outfits. Renegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber, and Skull Commander will be the Outfits to earn in Season 1, with an unlockable alternate style for each.

The Chapter 1 - Season 1 OG Pass can be leveled up with XP earned from playing any experience in Fortnite. You will have until January 31, 2025, at 2 AM ET, to complete it and claim all the rewards.

Fortnite OG Cups are unprized (no loot pool) open cups for the Fortnite OG game mode. The OG loot pool is at your disposal during these cups, with no competitive loot changes. Keep an eye out for more details on OG Cups in the coming weeks.
