Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is the next chapter of the massively popular third-person shooter where players are transported to the land of samurais and shinobis. The overarching Japanese theme can be seen in the unique character designs as well as the host of biomes of POIs introduced in the new map. Ranging from the giant turtle to the village-themed locations, players are in for a visual treat this season.
As with every chapter, Chapter 6 Season 1 introduces a host of collaborations such as Baymax from Big Hero 6, Godzilla, and more. The season will see bosses such as Godzilla roam around the map, offering players an additional challenge and a boss to defeat. Additionally, the shrines across the can be a great way to obtain rare loot and get exclusive weapons.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will also introduce a host of new and old weapons such as the Katana as well as Oni-inspired mythic masks which will grant players unique powers and buffs in-game. Additionally, as with any other update, many weapons have been vaulted and unvaulted.
Players can expect many more collaborations and popular characters to make their way as the season progresses. The new Fortnite map features a perfect blend of traditional Japanese mythology and modern technology to provide players with a fun and engaging way to enjoy the new season. Exciting POIs like Durr Sushi, Tanuki Twinkle, and more will add to the immersive experience of the new season.
The new chapter also brings in a few new parkour-inspired movement styles such as rolling after jumping and wall climbing. These new gameplay mechanics are a great way to explore the diverse new POIs that have their own features, quirks, and unique landmarks to explore. Additionally, the new demon arena is an exciting place for players to test out their skills to defeat NPC bosses and earn some sweet loot.
The new season also introduces new battle pass skins and exclusive themed cosmetics that players can flaunt in-game. This will be the first season after Fortnite changed the format of the Battle Pass and will introduce the crew subscription as a single pass. This pass will give players access to all in-game rewards and cosmetics across different modes such as Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and more.
Chapter 6 Season 1, titled 鬼 HUNTERS (Demon HUNTERS) begins on December 1, 2024.
