Certain Fortnite emotes are rarer than others, and for a good reason. While most have a standard animation to showcase, some have unique ones. Furthermore, since they cost V-Bucks, not everyone owns them; hence, they are unaware of this unique animation.

The latest 'unique' emote is in the Item Shop and can 'reveal' the gender of all skins in-game. Given the mass confusion over Rift Warden Stellan's gender, the emote can be helpful in certain situations.

"Heart Of A King" is an Icon Series emote in Fortnite. It was added to the game as part of the collaboration with The Kid LAROI. The emote in question is nothing too fancy. Compared to other emotes, characters merely sit on it and can traverse around the map.

However, what makes it unique is that it can 'reveal' the gender of all skins in Fortnite. When used by a 'male' skin, the character will sit on a pulsating heart with their legs wide apart. But when used with 'female' skin, the character will sit with the legs together and cross at the ankles.

This distinction can be seen in all 'male' and 'female' skins vividly in-game. While using this emote to 'reveal' the gender of the skin seldom makes sense, with Epic Games creating gender-fluid characters, it'll be interesting to see how they react to the emote.

On that note, certain skins break the 'norm' regarding a sitting posture. An excellent example of this is the "OG'' Penny skin. When using the "Have A Seat" emote, 'female' skins sit cross-legged, with both of them pointing downward.

"Male' skins, on the other hand, sit with one leg folded over the other, pointing sideways. Given that Penny is a 'female' skin by all accounts, the former sitting posture would likely be the go-to animation that should be triggered, but it's not.

Penny, despite being 'female,' sits as a 'male' skin would. While it's unclear why this happens, it's pretty cool that it does. This is not the only emote that triggers this special animation. There are quite a few emotes that have separate animations for the different genders.

Why do some emotes have different animations for 'female' and 'male' skins?

As far as anyone can tell, Epic Games creates different animations to keep things PG-13 or, at the very least, follow a social structure that has been in place for some time. Furthermore, since Fortnite is a global game, there's a lot that the developers have to take into consideration.

For instance, having a 'female' skin sit cross-legged with one pointing sideways may not be seen positively in some world cultures. Although it's just a video game, at the end of the day, many people take things seriously and in a negative light.

Then again, perhaps the developers created different animations simply because they could. It was merely done to add flavor to the game and keep things interesting. If nothing else, it would come as a pleasant surprise to someone playing Fortnite for the time around.
