Fortnite's next season premieres in less than a day, on February 10, 2023, and Loopers are counting down the minutes before they can drop onto what is rumored to be a futuristic island. They have been grinding out the last few hours of Chapter 4 Season 1 in anticipation of the upcoming season, especially after social media was flooded with multiple leaks and hints.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 launch time: All major time zones

At 2 am ET on March 10, 2023, the servers will be taken offline in preparation for the upcoming season. Epic Games has not yet mentioned when the downtime will conclude.

Based on previous patterns, the servers are expected to go live at 8 am EST, but the time is not verified. Here is a speculative list of when Chapter 4 Season 2 may begin in all major time zones:

  • 8:00 AM Eastern Time (ET)
  • 1:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • 1:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)
  • 8:00 AM Ecuador Time (ECT)
  • 3:00 PM Eastern European Time (EET)
  • 2:00 PM Middle European Time (MET)
  • 6:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT)
  • 6:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST)
  • 7:00 PM Central Time (CT)
  • 10:00 PM Japan Standard Time (JST)
  • 12:00 AM Australia Eastern Time (AET)
  • 2:00 AM Samoa Standard Time (SST)
  • 9:30 AM Newfoundland Standard Time (NST)
  • 9:00 AM Atlantic Standard Time (AST)
  • 5:00 AM Pacific Time (PT)
  • 9:00 PM Singapore Time (SGT)

You should take the above list with a grain of salt, as these are estimations. Epic will update the Fortnite Status Twitter page to inform gamers about any delays. As the game enters downtime, players will be treated to official cinematics and Battle Pass videos to get them hyped for the new island.

Also, after the servers go live, some technical concerns may arise due to the increased volume of user activity. With relics of the infamous Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 9 — which introduced players to Neo Tilted and other traversal elements in the game — supposedly being a part of the new season, the anticipation has only intensified further.

What can Loopers expect after the update?

Players may expect to see and ride readily recognizable futuristic vehicles on Fortnite island, while Neo Tubes will likely be utilized as Grind Rails for players to ride on. In addition, the game may finally introduce a first-person perspective option in the upcoming season, which can be used in the game's Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes.

Additionally, the official teasers have shown off four important cosmetic skins that players will be able to acquire after unlocking the Battle Pass. In the upcoming iteration of Bonus Rewards, a skin based on Attack on Titan's Eren Yeager will be available to players.

Epic is going MEGA with their plans for Fortnite Season 2, so it's safe to assume that Chapter 4 Season 2 may just turn out to be one of the best yet.
