In a recent Twitter thread about Fortnite, Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney teased that a feature to customize skins more comprehensively might arrive in a future update. However, it has not been confirmed yet. The thread was brought to light by famous Fortnite YouTuber SinX6.

Fortnite has a global outreach, is meant for all ages from 13+, and is well-optimized across several supported devices. However, what players across the world play Fortnite for is mainly due to the attractive in-game outfits, commonly known as skins.

Some skins in the game can be tweaked, allowing players to change the outfit's color and add their favorite icon. Over the years, the community has seen several customizable skins make an appearance in-game.

In a recent video posted by famous Fortnite leaker SinX6, a Twitter thread was highlighted where Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney spoke about the power of Artificial General Intelligence and how his team is working towards the future.

The comment from the CEO of one of the biggest video game companies in the world comes amidst the popularity of AI in recent days, with users creating avatars and modified images of themselves using several softwares.

In the thread, a user asked Tim a question related to Fortnite that has been going around the community for quite a while now. The question was whether Creative 2.0 will receive a feature to create custom characters and skins where players will be able to test them out and submit to Epic to potentially be added to the game.

It seems like the players want Creative 2.0 to feature a similar format to skins like map submissions, where they make skins and the community votes for them to be added to the Item Shop. Tim Sweeney had the following reply:

"Eventually, but not very soon."

This means that Epic does have plans to introduce a skin/character customization feature in Creative 2.0 that will bring the game on similar lines with Roblox and Minecraft. However, there are also several concepts on the internet that show how Epic can add this feature to the game and what level of customization the community wants.

While players are still waiting for Creative 2.0 to hit the game, Chapter 4 Season 1 is underway. Gamers can experience the brand new island in stunning graphics built with Unreal Engine 5.1, making it one of the best-looking games out there.

Additionally, the newly introduced Nanite and Lumen system in Fortnite enhances the visual geometry of elements and lighting, making the game more realistic than ever before.
