Is a Walter White Fortnite skin in development? At the moment, there's nothing to suggest that a cosmetic collaboration is in progress. With neither leakers nor Epic Games hinting at the same, it is just speculation and rumors for the time being.

That said, there have been a few telltale signs that a collaboration may not be too far away. While these "signs" don't explicitly state this, Fortnite's developers have been known to drop hints every now and then. With that said, here's a deep dive into the topic at hand.

A Walter White Fortnite skin would be something to look at

The chemistry teacher turned "cook" is something that Fortnite players have been requesting for some time now. Although the show, Breaking Bad, is not exactly PG-13, as long as the collaboration's cosmetics don't break the game's guidelines, it should not be an issue.

Given that other violent characters have been toned down and added to the game over the years, having a 'meth cook' in-game shouldn't be a problem. On that note, there have been a few indirect rumors and speculations about Walter White coming to the metaverse.

To elaborate, in late August this year, Gustavo Fring, owner of the fictional Los Pollos Hermanos in Breaking Bad, appeared in a survey for the popular battle royale game. Fast forward to October and Jesse Pinkman was spotted in a survey as well.

If Epic Games is including these names in surveys, it certainly does not feel random. Since these surveys provide data to Epic Games' marketing team, it was clearly conducted with some intention in mind. Unfortunately, the main character in concern, Walter White, is yet to be showcased in the survey.

Does this mean that the Walter White Fortnite skin will never become a reality? That's definitely not the case. Given that other major collaborations such as Dragon Ball and Naruto were once featured in surveys, there's still hope left.

With more and more surveys showcasing names associated with Breaking Bad, the chances of a Walter White Fortnite skin being created seem to be increasing. If this is indeed the case, then why isn't his name mentioned in the surveys? Well, there's a good explanation at hand.

Breaking Bad is Walter White

The name Walter White is synonymous with Breaking Bad as one cannot exist without the other. So, if surveys only contain the names of characters such as Gustavo Fring and Jesse Pinkman, it's probably due to the fact that a Walter White Fortnite skin has already been chosen for a potential collaboration.

As collaborations generally introduce more than one cosmetic item, the developers may potentially be considering who else to add alongside Heisenberg. Based on the information we have, their current options are Gustavo Fring and Jesse Pinkman. Since character designs cost a fair amount of money, they'll likely choose the one that's more popular based on data from surveys.

With all that said, there are already hints present on the map. Given that Epic Games uses every medium possible to showcase upcoming collaborations and content, perhaps being speculative is not a bad idea.

Hopefully, with the latest survey featuring Jesse Pinkman, the developers are one step closer to finalizing who will and will not become a part of the metaverse. That being said, a Walter White Fortnite skin will definitely be part of the collaboration, if it does arrive.
