Where to hide in a giant snowball at Frosty Firs, Brutal Bastion, and Lonely Labs in Fortnite

Fortnite Winterfest 2022 is underway and comprises many challenges players need to complete to gain some extra XP and get free rewards associated with the event. Apart from this, Epic has also brought several freebies for players to redeem throughout the annual holiday season update until January 3, 2023.

One of those challenges requires loopers to hide in a giant snowball across three POIs and landmarks in the North East Snow Biomes on the Chapter 4 Season 1 island. This feature was first teased to players in the official Chapter 4 trailer, where they can make Giant Snowballs using their pickaxe and hide inside them easily.

Players found Snow Biomes on the map fascinating as the latest season began. It contains several new features and landmarks for them to explore and use ziplines, ascenders, and a wind stream to traverse the high mountain peaks that those locations contain.

While camping in open areas across these biomes can be quite a challenge as it lacks bush and foliage for players to hide in, doing so inside giant snowballs can be a viable strategy as it camouflages them amongst the snow on the ground.

The current Winterfest challenge requires players to hide in Giant Snowballs in Brutal Bastion, Frosty Firs, and Lonely Labs across Fortnite island. Here's where you can complete the challenge.

Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Challenge Guide: Hide in Giant Snowballs in Brutal Bastion, Lonely Labs, and Frosty Firs

The latest Winterfest 2022 quests in Fortnite Chapter 4 are only valid for a week, and they guarantee a whole level up on the player's account who completes all 14 challenges. One of those challenges requires players to visit Brutal Bastion, Lonely labs, and Frosty Firs and hide inside a Snowball in each location.

To do so, players must first open their Mini Map by pressing the M button on their keyboard. Once opened, locate Lonely Labs and Brutal Bastion in the top right corner of the map as they are named locations. Frosty Firs is an unnamed landmark located northwest of Brutal Bastion, right outside the ice cave on the snow biome.

Once you land in any of these locations on the Fortnite Chapter 4 island, you must make sure you land on the snow. Now grab any weapons you see nearby to defend yourself from any opponents nearby.

Once you've made sure you're in the clear, take out your harvesting tool (pickaxe) and start hitting it toward the ground. Eventually, you will see snow from the ground gathering together and forming a Giant Snowball with 600 Health.

Once you have a Giant Snowball in front of you, stroll towards it and press F to hide inside the snowball. You will now be able to move using the WASD keys and navigate the snowball downhill, as it does not work on a flat surface.

Giant Snowballs function similarly to boulders from Fortnite Chapter 3. Once stopped, you can reveal the snowball by pressing F again and pickaxe it to give it more momentum to continue.

Repeating the above activity across all three locations will successfully complete the Winterfest quest and grant you 16,000 XP. However, the challenge can be completed across different matches, so you won't have to worry about rotating across all three locations in a Fortnite match.
