Fortnite XP glitches are a staple means to level-up in-game. While most don't work as intended or fail to provide enough XP to make a difference, they are undoubtedly useful in the grand scheme of things. The most recent XP major glitch in Chapter 4 allowed players to enter unreleased LTMs and farm XP by collecting Slap Berries.

This shouldn't have been a problem given that collecting each Slap Berry only provides 100 XP but Epic Games has decided otherwise. Players who utilized this glitch to farm experience points have been "slapped" with a ban. Given the number of players getting banned, this is not an isolated incident.

To summarize the situation, any user who used a bot to access unreleased LTMs to farm XP has been banned for 12 hours. Despite the experience points gained from this glitch being negligible in most instances, Epic Games has labeled this as an 'exploit.' While the ban is temporary, it leaves a permanent dent in the track record of the user.

Furthermore, according to the community, the last time the developers issued bans for using unreleased LTMS was three years ago. Thus, most players thought it wouldn't be an issue. Having said that, it's rather odd as to why Epic Games made these decisions.

Based on the general consensus, they were not banned for gaining XP, but rather for bypassing protocols to access unreleased LTMs. While there's no foul play at hand, Fortnite ToS would state otherwise. Nonetheless, this is a clear indication that Epic Games will ban players for utilizing certain glitches in-game.

Are there any safe glitches in Fortnite Chapter 4?

Any glitches or 'exploits' found in-game itself have the lowest possible risk of getting users banned. Since these originate from within the game files, banning a player for using them is not something that would make sense. This applies to Creative XP glitch maps as well.

As seen innumerable times, those who use XP glitch maps to level up in Fortnite are not brought under the microscope for any reason. Since Epic Games has to check the maps for issues, any lapse in doing so is not the fault of the end user. That said, there have been certain exceptions from time to time.

But in most scenarios, using XP glitch maps is safe. However, given how they function, players are better off playing Team Rumble or Save The World mode to earn extra XP. Going AFK for hours only to end up with 200,000 XP is not worth it.

With all that said, this leaves non-related glitches open to interpretation. Considering that the most recent Supercharged XP glitch involving a bot didn't lead to any bans, certain ones should be okay to use. However, to be on the safe side, playing the game normally is the best course of action to follow.

Although the XP grind may be slow, players will not get banned for extended durations and hamper their efforts of leveling up in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.
