The New Zealand women’s cricket team is scheduled to play against Australia women’s cricket team between February 2019 and March 2019. The tour consists of three Women’s One Day Internationals.
The Women’s One Day International matches form part of the 2017-2020 ICC Women’s Championship. This Championship is being played to determine qualification for the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup which will be hosted by New Zealand.
The three-match WODI series will begin from 22 February with the first match being played at the WACA Ground in Perth. From there the teams will travel to Adelaide to play the second WODI at Karen Rolton Oval on 24 February 2019. The third and final WODI will be played at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on 3 March 2019.
This will be New Zealand women’s cricket team’s second tour to Australia in the past six months. They played three Women’s Twenty20 Internationals between September 2018 and October 2018. The Australian women’s cricket team won that series by whitewashing the White Ferns.
This WODI series will be the last one for both New Zealand and Australia, which they will play as a part of 2017-2020 ICC Women’s Championship. Both the teams are on the top of the table of the Championship with the Australians at the first and White Ferns at the second spot.
Two inclusions have been made to the Australian side which claimed a 3-0 series whitewash victory in Australia’s most recent WODI outing against Pakistan. Although the host will be missing their star opener, Nicole Bolton.
