About RSM Classic 2023
RSM Classic 2023
A professional golf event on the PGA Tour, the 2023 RSM Classic, will be held at Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island from November 13 to November 19.
The Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia, has hosted the event since 2010 under the name McGladrey Classic. The seaside and plantation courses are where it is played.
Since it is usually the penultimate PGA Tour tournament of the year, spectators may get one more opportunity to watch world-class golf before the tour takes a break.
Canadian golfer Adam Svensson won the 2022 event, finishing two strokes clear of Callum Tarren of England.
RSM Classic 2023 History
In March 2010, the tournament was inaugurated by resident tour pros Davis Love III and Zach Johnson, who also assisted in revealing the new logo that had been painted by Rock Demarco. Heath Slocum won the first event in 2010 by one stroke over Bill Haas, who came in second.
The field has been increased to 156 participants and the tournament has been held on Sea Island's Seaside and Plantation courses since 2015. It was the last official PGA Tour event of the year in 2015, 2019, and 2021. Until the season began in January, there were just a few unofficial tournaments.

RSM Classic 2023 Course
According to the official website of Sea Island, the most spectacular layout on Sea Island, Seaside consistently ranks in the top 100 US golf courses.
The course flaunts fairways and greens with exquisite maintenance, sweeping dunes studded with native grasses, wildflowers, and bunkers. Additionally, there is a wind that makes every day's golf game unique. Seaside Golf Course blends a fun and tough golf game with a stunning natural environment.
The current course connects the original Seaside with the former Marshside course, a Tom Fazio redesign of the 1929 classic created by renowned golf course architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison.
This transformation of two nines from "18 holes that didn't match into 18 matchless holes" according to Sea Island touring pro, Davis Love III. In addition to the Plantation Course, it is the site of the FedEx Cup event hosted by Love and the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour.
