Zimbabwe will tour neighbouring country South Africa in an One Day International and T20 series in 2018. The ODI matches will be helpful for preparation of the South African cricket team in their journey to the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
South Africa has always come on top against Zimbabwe in head to head series. However, Zimbabwe will be looking to change the numbers through this upcoming competition.

The ODI series will be played from 30 September to 6 October 2018. The first match will take place at Diamond Oval, Kimberley on 30 September. The second match will be played on 3 October 2018 at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein. The third and last ODI will be played in Boland Park, Paarl on 6 October 2018 at.
The T20 series will happen from 9 to 14 October 2018. The first match will take place at Buffalo Park, East London on 9 October followed by second at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on 12 October. The last match will be played in Willowmoore Park, Benoni on 14 October.
Previous Matchups
Apart from Test cricket, the last time these two countries faced each other in an ODI was in group stages of 2015 Cricket World Cup. South Africa had won the match by 62 runs.
In 2014, South Africa toured Zimbabwe for a Test match and three ODI games. South Africa was the series winner by completely dominating all the matches and winning them.
