The second round of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open has concluded, and the cut line is set at 3-under. Several big names missed the cut at the tournament, including the 2025 Masters Champion Rory McIlroy and six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa.
Last year, Robert MacIntyre won the RBC Canadian Open with 16-under 264, one stroke ahead of Ben Griffin. This year, the tournament kicked off at TPC Toronto on Thursday, June 5, with a 156-player field. However, following the conclusion of the second round, the field has now been reduced to 67 players.

#1 Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy has had a phenomenal season this year. He won his first PGA Tour title of the year at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, then the Players Championship, and the Masters Tournament. His victory at Augusta National placed him among the six players to have a career Grand Slam in the history of golf.
Despite his stellar record so far, McIlroy struggled at TPC Toronto. He carded 9-over 149 across 36 holes and finished in 149th position, four spots away from last place. This has undoubtedly been his worst performance this year.
#2 Max Homa

American golfer Max Homa has won six events on the PGA Tour, including the 2022 Fortinet Championship and the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. This year, he has missed the cut in six events, including the RBC Canadian Open.
Homa scored 1-under 69 in his first two rounds at TPC Toronto. This brought his total to 2-under 138, narrowly missing the 3-under cut line.
#3 Justin Rose

11-time PGA Tour winner Justin Rose secured his maiden PGA Tour title at the 2010 Memorial Tournament. He won the US Open in 2013 and placed second in the 2025 Masters Tournament after losing the playoff to Rory McIlroy.
Rose scored 2-under 68 in his first round at the RBC Canadian Open. On day two, he carded 1-over 71 and fell 46 spots down the leaderboard. This brought his total to 1-under 139 across 36 holes.

Luke Clanton made his PGA Tour debut at the RBC Canadian Open. Earlier this year, he placed T15 in the Farmers Insurance Open and T18 in the Cognizant Classic.

Gary Woodland has won four events on the PGA Tour and one major championship. This year, he placed T2 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and T11 in the Charles Schwab Challenge.
