Spiranac is one of the top names when it comes to golf-based content creators in the world. The 2016 Cactus Tour winner's X handle (previously Twitter) and YouTube are full of analysis, opinions and tips for golfers. In Paige Spiranac’s latest video on X today, the content creator admitted that it would be an extremely hard test for the competitors in Pennsylvania.

She made an analysis of the extensive layout, talking about the lighting fast greens, thick and penal roughs, and of course, the notorious bunkers of Oakmont. Paige Spiranac said:

"Let's preview the 2025 U.S. Open. This year it's held at Oakmont Country Club... this is going to be a grueling test of golf. Oakmont is well bunkered with firm fast greens and thick rough, thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. It is going to be a true test from start to finish every single shot."

Apart from her take on the course, Spiranac made a bet on the probable favorites of this year's U.S. Open. Her primary list contained the World's No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler and two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau. Paige Spiranac also chose two new faces who might turn out to be promising this week. She said:

"Cream normally rise to the top in championships like this, so no surprise the favorites are going to be Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau."

"But if you're looking at some dark horses, I'm liking Harris English and Ben Griffin. I'm looking for carnage this week and fingers crossed that we actually get an over par winner," Spiranac added.

Paige Spiranac’s 'dark horses', Harris English and Ben Griffin have been on a constant ascension. English won the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this year, and recorded a runner-up at Quail Hollow, displaying an excellent form throughout. Griffin tied 8th at the PGA Championship, won the Zurich Classic and Charles Schwab Challenge, and recently recorded runner-up at Muirfield.

Spiranac's analysis of Oakmont comes from a first-hand experience she had a few weeks ago.

When Paige Spiranac went up against Oakmont's odds

During this year's USGA Creator's Day, Spiranac along with Roger Steele, Kyle Berkshire, and Evan Thompson played at Oakmont CC last month. In the full video of the event shared on Spiranac's YouTube Channel, she gave fans a look at the renovated venue that featured upgraded greens, roughs and bunkers.

Paige Spiranac and others began playing in Oakmont via a shotgun start from hole 12. The social media influencer scored birdies on holes 12, 14, and 16, and finished her play with a total 3-under par score. She thoroughly acknowledged the difficulty of the newly revamped course which made it more challenging to score well while playing there.

Spiranac’s birdie shots, funny banter with the junior golf creators and course commentary provided fans with a fresh look at Oakmont ahead of the third major of the season.
