Bengal Warriors vs Haryana Steelers Match Prediction: Who will win today's Pro Kabaddi 2017 match?

Bengal Warriors win
The Bengal Warriors are currently on a seven-game winning spree

In their fourth match at home in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the Bengal Warriors will take the battle to the mat against the Haryana Steelers from Zone A at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.

This will the first time that these two teams clash against each other as a part of the second round of the Inter-Zonal challenge.

Both teams are coming into this encounter on the back of a win from their last match, while the Bengal Warriors scored one against the Tamil Thalaivas, the Haryana Steelers handed a defeat to the Gujarat Fortunegiants.

The Warriors have been impressive in their home leg - unbeaten so far and will look to carry the momentum into the game against the Steelers as well. Captain Surjeet has been marshalling his troops on the mat by example and is ably supported in his efforts by the very experienced, Ran Singh who has a menacing presence at the corner position.

Owing to the absence of their star raider Deepak Narwal, Maninder Singh and Jang Kun Lee have been on point in the attack, giving consistent performances while Vinod Kumar, the all-rounder plays in the capacity of the do-or-die raider. Srikanth Tewthia has been a weak link for the team and is high time that he steps up his performance, avoiding any sort of rash tackle.

The Steelers' defence has to step up to the plate if they are to stand any chance

The Haryana Steelers, on the other hand, look like a very well-balanced side with the stronghold being the corner defensive duo of Surender Nada and Mohit Chhillar. Surender has particularly stood out and is even perched atop the leaderboard for most number of tackle points.

The team lost out their young gun Vikas Khandola due to an injury but in his absence, Prashant Rai went rampant on the mat in the last match where he amassed, 16 raid points against the formidable Gujarat defence and was assisted by the veteran Wazir Singh who bagged nine points of his own.

The other two defenders, viz. Rakesh Kumar Singh and Neeraj Kumar, however, will have to showcase their mettle as well if the team is to succeed against the Bengal Warriors.
