Welcome to the Live coverage of first of tonight’s double header between Patna Pirates and Telugu Titans at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi in the ongoing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4.
The defending champions have already cemented the top spot in the league standings with a win against Dabang Delhi yesterday and would be hoping to rest some of their star players for the upcoming semi-final to be played on Friday. Their star raider Pardeep Narwal has continued his fine form in to the season 4 and has gathered up a mammoth total of 105 raid points so far while the duo of Fazel Atrachali and Dharmaraj Cherlathan has been successful in blunting down the opposition attacks on a regular basis. The Pirates would be hoping for a injury free match against the Titans today in order to be in full strenght for the upcoming semi-final clash against the team which will finish 4th in the league standings.
Similarly, Telugu Titans have also secured their passage to the semi-final stage and would be hoping to rest some of their star players for the upcoming semi-final clash against the season 1 winners Jaipur Pink Panthers to be played on Friday. Most probably, their star raider Rahul Chaudhari will be rested ahead of an important semi-final clash as he has played the full season with a damaged right shoulder, however, the 23-year old raider is leading the charts for scoring maximum number of raid points in season 4 with 108 raid points to his name.
The two sides have met each other on 8 occasions in PKL history with the Titans winning the tie on 5 of those occasions to the Pirates’ 3.
