The Pirates will be hungry for another win

In their third home match in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the Patna Pirates will lock horns against the Bengal Warriors at the Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

When the two teams clashed previously earlier in the league, the first match ended in a draw, while the Bengal Warriors came out on top in the second one by a slender margin of just three points.

The Patna Pirates are coming into this encounter on the back of a win last night against the UP Yoddha while the Warriors also notched up a win in their last clash against the Telugu Titans in the Haryana leg.

The Pirates have already won two matches on the trot at home and will be on the hunt for the third one tonight. Skipper Pardeep Narwal has been stupendous with his raiding and picked up 15 points in the match last night as well. He is assisted by Monu Goyat who has also been quite consistent on the mat.

The defence though needs to get more points with the likes of Vishal Mane, Sachin Shingade, Jaideep and Jawahar not being as successful as their raiders. Another young gun who came to the fore is all-rounder Vijay who picked up 5 points against UP Yoddha which included 3 tackle points, which added to the team's strength.

The Bengal Warriors are led by skipper Surjeet Singh who plays in the capacity of a cover defender and was particularly on point in the last match where he picked up a High-5. The attack of the side is led by the Indo-Korean duo of Maninder Singh and Jang Kun Lee who have showcased their raiding prowess each time and will look to take advantage of the weak defensive link of the Patna Pirates.

The defence is manned by Ran Singh and Young Chang Ko alongside Surjeet while Srikanth Tewthia should now be replaced for he gives away more points than he picks up with silly errors. All-rounder Vinod Kumar has been a key cog in the machine with his ability to perform on either shore of the mat. One good news in the offing for the team is the fact that Deepak Narwal might be completely fit to take to the mat in tonight's encounter and given his performances earlier in the season, Bengal can definitely throw a mightier challenge to the Pirates.

Patna Pirates vs Bengal Warriors match prediction

Patna has the upper hand in this match primarily due to the presence of a one Pardeep Narwal in their ranks thus if Bengal wants to keep their chances alive, they will have to keep the rampant raider out of the equation for the maximum amount of time while making sure that their own raiders are rampant in the attack.
