Before the start of the second phase of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7, Gujarat Fortune Giants coach Manpreet Singh had assured a change in the Fortune of the Giants after an unforgettable first phase. And with a thumping 32-23 win against the defending champions Bengaluru Bulls, the Giants reminded of old saying, it's never over till the final whistle.
"We didn't do well but boys have always given cent per cent. We are getting results, a little late. The victory over Bulls has increased the confidence level and players are finding form," said Manpreet.
The two time finalists, Gujarat Fortune Giants just couldn't find the rhythm in the first eleven games. However, Manpreet Singh knew his boys had the potential and it was all about to find touch. In Bengaluru last week Giants regained their winning touch. "It concerns you when your key defenders are not in form. Because it also affects other players' confidence. Sunil-Parvesh not only keep opposition raiders in check but also inspire others, especially raiders. "When we met Warriors during our home leg, team wasn't in good form and we lost by couple of points. Now we have raiders scoring and defenders tackling. Bengal team is going to find it difficult this time.
