The trajectory in the PKL:
Having played just one season prior, there is not much of the trajectory that can be shown. The Fortune Giants started their campaign on a very high note and very dominant throughout the 2017 PKL. A lot can be depicted from the result when they bossed the zonal table.
During the knockout phases too, they looked strong before going down to the Patna Pirates in the final. Having studied a lot on their low points in the last season, now the team has a great sense of optimism because of them possessing an even better squad than before.
Although the team performed well in the last edition, they did show some glimpses of vulnerability. Their defence looked shaky on several occasions while at some point in the game, they looked less creative to say the least. With a young squad like theirs, this shouldn't come as surprise to anyone.
Major Players for the PKL 2018:
The management had opted in favour of retaining the same trio of Sachin Tanwar, Mahendra Ganesh Rajput and Sunil Kumar; who did create havoc last term around. So it's pretty much clear who are their major faces to watch out for.
With the new addition of many players in which K. Prapanjan, Ajay Kumar, Dong Geon Lee, Hadi Oshtorak; are the names which stand out among others. Each one of them possessing the required skills to win the game for the team on their own.
