PKL 2019, Match 126: Telugu Titans vs Gujarat Fortunegiants | Match preview, predictions and telecast details - Who will win today’s match?
- Can Gujarat end their season with a victory over Telugu Titans?
Both these teams could never really get going and hence stayed in the bottom half of the table for a long time.
Telugu Titans have won only five matches this season and the major reason for their poor show was their defence. For most of the season, the majority of defensive work was left on the shoulders of the two corners, Vishal Bharadwaj and Abozar Mighani. Both did very well individually but their lack of coordination was visible in their unsuccessful tackles.
Star raider Siddharth Desai lived up to the expectations with a string of monumental efforts that kept his team in the hunt for the playoffs.
If Rajnish Dalal entered this starting seven a tad earlier, things could have been different for the Titans. Nevertheless, their young players like Rakesh Gowd and Krushna Madane have looked decent and could be good picks for the next season.

Last year’s finalists Gujarat Fortunegiants will be disappointed with their poor show so far. They lacked consistency. Now and then, they suffered a loss that halted their momentum.
They have the second least number of raid points this season (341), which attributes to the absence of a good consistent raider.
Rohit Gulia has lead this team well, but as of now, he is not quite the raider who could win you matches. Support raider GB More did very well in the last game with 15 points to his name, but he has been in and out of the team.
With Sunil Kumar missing out, Parvesh Bhainswal will have to take the onus on himself to deliver and end this season on a good note. Parvesh has four High 5s and a total of 51 tackle points this season.
Gujarat Fortunegiants Form Guide: L L W L D
Predicted Starting 7
Telugu Titans: Siddharth Desai, Rajnish Dalal, Farhad Milaghardan, C Arun, Rakesh Gowda, Krushna Madane, Akash Choudhary
Gujarat Fortunegiants: Sonu, GB More, Rohit Gulia (C), Amit, Parvesh Bhainswal, Pankaj, Ruturaj Koravi
Telugu Titans may once again field a young starting seven to build a team for coming seasons. Their relatively inexperienced defence will have to stand tall against Gujarat’s raiders.
Gujarat’s defence will be challenged by Siddharth Desai’s quick-footed running touches. If Gujarat keep him under control, they will be in the driver’s seat.
Telugu Titans could be expected to beat Gujarat Fortunegiants.
