Nitin Madane will be crucial for Bengal’s chances

Patna Pirates, who are enjoying an unbeaten run so far this season of Pro Kabaddi League will take on a lacklustre Bengal Warriors unit for their second straight home game at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna. While the Patna Pirates are sitting pretty with 20 points from their three games, the Warriors have been searching for their elusive second win and are placed last on the points table with just one victory from their five games.

The Live Streaming for the Pro Kabaddi season 4 game between Patna Pirates and Bengal Warriors will be available on starsports.com from 20:00 hours IST. The match will be telecasted live from the Pataliputra Sports Complex, Patna and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD)/Star Sports 2 in English and Star Sports 3 /Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

The Pirates have continued their marvellous run from season 3, where they emerged as the champions after beating U-Mumba. Pardeep Narwal has been the wrecker-in-chief for the Pirates, raging through opposition defences with ease and has registered eight or more points every game which has drifted victory towards the Pirates faster.

Rajesh Mondal, the do-or-die specialist, has lived up to his name by getting the Pirates crucial points during the do-or-die raids. Against his former team Bengaluru Bulls, Rajesh Mondal was at his best, scoring at least a point in every do-or-die raid he was entrusted with.

Dharmaraj Cheralathan has done more than a commendable job in leading the squad. With acres of experience to his credit, ‘Anna’ as he is fondly called has produced vicious tackles but the way he has moved his troops around has been a major driving factor for Patna’s success. Kuldeep Singh has exercised his role to perfection, bringing out his tackles and raids to great effect. Against the Bulls, Kuldeep was given the role to kill time and make life difficult for the Bulls. That was exactly what he did while also trapping the Bulls raiders often to amass 7 points from the game.

The Bengal Warriors following their hat-trick of losses will have to come up with a strategy and follow it to it’s fullest extent to even sniff a win against the Pirates considering the form the defending champions are in. Against the Pink Panthers, the raiders came to the party with Monu Goyat and Nitin Madane scoring eight points apiece. In the ensuing matches, neither of them have been able to make any stern impact which has hurt Warriors.

The constant shuffling in their squad formation has also impacted the Warriors, as they are yet to find a perfect winning combination. Subsequent to the contest against the Bulls, Jang-Kun Lee suffered an injury which piled on the woes to the Warriors campaign. The ‘Flying Machine’ Surjeet Narwal has not found his footing yet, and will have to find form quickly to lead the raiding department.

The Pirates, playing their second game at home will look to continue to pile misery on the Bengal Warriors, while the Nilesh Shinde led side will look to claw their way back with a win, which will be required to instill some much-needed confidence back to them after a string of losses.
