#2 Patna Pirates

Yes, the defending champions Patna Pirates have made it on the list once again. They had a pretty damp start as they lost their very first match of the season against Tamil Thalaivas. Their home leg performance was also pretty disappointing as they won just two out of six matches.

Pirates currently stand on number two in Zone B behind Bengaluru Bulls. Although they have not done an exceptional job this season, they might qualify having won 9 matches out of 18.

Keeping stats aside, let us now talk about the players on the squad. Pardeep Narwal. The invincible. Yes, the one who became the very first person to cross the 800 points mark in just 4 seasons.

Words fall short for him as he is spiffing. Have you ever seen any player score eight points in a single raid? What? Eight points in a single raid. That. Is. Wickedly. Insane. That is Pardeep Narwal for you.

He stands on the third position on the best raiders' list with 197 points in 17 matches. The most number of points scored by him in one match is 27. Yes, you read that right. He even left us flabbergasted after scoring 34 points in a single match against Haryana last season.

It is unbelievable that Manjeet made a debut this season. Manjeet has massively contributed in every win of Patna. Also Vijay and Deepak. Both have priorly played for Patna Pirates in the past and have done a great job.

Defence is also covered with the likes of Vikas Kale and Jaideep, but they will have to endeavour for the team's sake. They should not forget that they will have to win all their remaining matches if they want to seal their spot in the playoffs.
