The captain of the Indian Kabaddi team, Ajay Thakur has made a name for himself by playing well for multiple PKL franchises. His first Pro Kabaddi team was Bengaluru Bulls. Thakur scored 122 raid points in the first season at an average of 8.13. His performance dipped in season 2 as he could score only 79 points in 13 matches. This forced the Bengaluru Bulls to release him ahead of season 3.

Thakur played for Puneri Paltan next. He had a dismal outing with the Pune franchise in season 3. The frog-jump specialist notched up only 52 raid points in 14 games at a poor average of 3.71. His performance improved a bit in season 4 where he collected 63 raid points.

However, at the back of two bad seasons, Pune released Thakur. Tamil Thalaivasroped in the services of the 2016 World Cup winner. The lion-hearted player silenced all his critics with his 213 raid points in 22 matches but the Thalaivas finished rock-bottom.

His overall tally got a huge boost at the end of season six owing to his fine individual performance that fetched him 203 raid points from 22 matches.

In total, Ajay Thakur has 732 raid points from 102 matches at an average of 7.17 raid points per match and also has 28 Super-10s to his credit.
