Arch-rivals UP Yoddha and Bengal Warriors lock horns in rivalry week tonight.
Arch-rivals UP Yoddha and Bengal Warriors lock horns in rivalry week tonight.

UP Yoddha will look to avenge their previous one-sided loss against Bengal Warriors on day 2 of the Bengaluru leg at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru as a part of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi 2019.

The Warriors raced away to a 7-4 lead early in the game but the Yoddha have done well to strike a comeback and face just a slender one-point deficit at the break. Both the raiding units have failed to do well but the defensive show has been on point, more so by Yoddhas' Nitesh Kumar, who already has a High 5 to his name.

UP Yoddha seek a victory tonight to increase their score difference (-71) which is the lowest among all teams this season. A win for Bengal Warriors will solidify their position at the 2nd spot in the points table.

Shrikant Jadhav has 53 raid points in 11 matches for UP Yoddha as their top scorer. He scored 15 raid points in his recent outing against Puneri Paltan. Surender Gill could be the support raider while Rishank Devadiga/Monu Goyat may return to the team in tonight's must-win encounter.

Maninder Singh has 92 raid points in 11 matches this season. He has led the offense of Bengal Warriors with K Prapanjan who has supported him decently with 74 raid points. All-rounder Esmaeil Nabibakhsh will be keen on completing his all-round duties yet again as this raiding trio has been formidable this season.

Left corner Sumit Sangwan has had a sensational debut season for UP Yoddha with 38 tackle points in 11 matches thus far. He has supported his captain Nitesh Kumar to build a dependable corner duo. Amit Narwal and Ashu Singh, as usual, will be the covers for the team.

Rinku Narwal with a brilliant High-5 against Tamil Thalaivas is the top scorer for Bengal's defense with 31 tackle points to his name. Baldev Singh will be looking for regaining his momentum in the right corner. Jeeva Kumar and Naveen Narwal will be aiding the tackles from the covers against UP's raiders tonight.

Can UP Yoddha avenge their previous loss against Bengal Warriors? Or will Bengal Warriors consolidate their position at the top?
