Harshal Patel [Player of the Match (4/27), Sunrisers Hyderabad]: Pretty pleasing, we have been trying it from the last 4-5 games, and winning games from here on will be special. It was hard to hit straight batted shots, so I wanted the batters to play towards deep midwicket. (MS Dhoni dismissal) I was trying to bowl full to him, one of those variations which often does come off, but at that moment, it does. (Presence of family) It allows me to switch off. The moment I come out of the room, it is about cricket, and the moment I get back in the room, it is about how I become a good father.

Pat Cummins [captain, Sunrisers Hyderabad]: It is great, the boys played well. Always get down after a few losses so feel better. Guys at the top want to take the game on. Guys, read the conditions well and did a fine job. In these conditions, you go for spinners, and better to send Klaasen up the order. Our record against CSK isn't great; we have five games, so we need to get things straight. Need to play a bit more clinical, but happy with the win

Nitish Kumar Reddy: Yeah it's just a thought for the team and it went pretty well for them. We are proud of winning this game and hopefully we can continue this run. It was about playing normal game and looking for twos and putting pressure on the fielders. Little turn was there, Noor bowled well and Khaleel also bowled well. It is much important for us, we need to win every game. We know last year RCB won six games on a row and qualified for the playoffs. We have to be positive and let's see what happens from there.

MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings captain): I think we kept losing wickets and another thing, in the first innings the wicket was a bit better. After the first few overs it became a bit two paced but nothing out of the ordinary. Yes the conditions got better in the second innings. We were 15-20 runs short. We need someone like him (Dewald Brevis) in the middle order, we haven't been able to dominate and get runs at a good pace against the spinners in the middle overs. This is the area which we need to improve. I think in a tournament like this if majority of the players are not doing well, it becomes very difficult. If four of them are not performing and putting runs on the board. Access the conditions and play accordingly.

A third win for SRH this season, first at Chepauk since their inception! SRH have also won their first away game this season, with the Orange Army thoroughly enjoying this. A lot for CSK to process. They continue to hold the wooden spoon and have a sour homecoming after spending a couple of days on the road.

SRH's innings also had a similar start to that of CSK, but they lost a wicket on the second delivery of the innings. From there on, it was Ishan Kishan who anchored a bit and then led the charge. Throughout the middle order, Aniket Verma, Kamindu Mendis, and Nitish Kumar Reddy made valuable contributions as SRH registered a well-deserved five-wicket win and won their first-ever game at Chepauk.

As for CSK, things continue to go south for them, where it seems like there could be no viable solution for this. Their bowlers made one too many mistakes defending the total and ended up paying the price. MS Dhoni's rotation of bowlers is to be questioned, with Pathirana being introduced a tad bit late. Noor Ahmad, the highest wicket-taker for them this season so far, did pick up wickets, but was expensive and erred heavily.
