Day 3 is often referrd to as the moving day but in this series a lot has happened by the time we have got to Day 3. The surface looks pretty decent still, a lot drier though. There is a significant difference in the swing at the night, almost double the amount of swing in the night sessions and that is why there have been so many wickets. Commentary

"Disappointment" will be an understatement. Despite the promise and prowess that the pace-battery exhibited throughout the series, West Indies have copped up a mauling. Several times over the last three matches, their bowlers put Australia under pressure, only for the batters to end up a mile short. Today, it went a bit further. The '27 all out' is a scar that will remain forever.

The visitors would be chuffed about the clean sweep. However, they didn't quite find the answers to the most burning questions. Their is still some uncertainty about their top three and they don't have any more Test matches before the Ashes. Though, over the last three innings, Cameron Green has made his case strong.

4:51 PM local time, 3:21 AM IST | Pat Cummins collects the Frank Worrell Trophy and takes it to his mates who are already posing for a picture behind the banner that says "CHAMPIONS". The celebrations are pretty measured. Run of the mill stuff for them.

Pat Cummins (Australia captain): "This match was madness. It felt like it was being played in fast forward. There were some nervous moments in this series. But proud of how the boys held their own. Roston Chase (West Indies captain): "It is heart-breaking to be in this position. We put ourself in a position from where we could have won the game. And then, that batting performance... that has been the story of the series. The bowlers have kept us in the game throughout the series. But as batters we need to have a serious look at ourselves. (On the upcoming series in India) Firstly, obviously, India is going to be different conditions. If we can have some batting camps to prepare than it would be good. I would like to congratulate the pace bowlers of my team. Every time I have called upon them, they have done really well. But I don't want them to rest on their laurels. I want them to strive for greatness."

Mitchell Starc is the Player of the Match as well as the Player of the Series. He says, "It has worked out pretty well for the week. It has been a fantastic series for us. I can go home with a big smile on my face. We saw last night that the conditions under lights with the hard new ball are difficult for batting. But we did not expect it to happen so quickly. There was a wind blowing across. That helped. (On Scott Boland) He is amazing. In another team, he would have played a lot more. But he is prepared all the time. This week again, he was on the money. They have shown their class with skill and patience. Shamar has been really good. Last night too him and Alzarri showed us how good they are."

Hat-trick hero Scott Boland says "I was a bit nervous bowling the hat-trick ball. Amazing feeling. Starc set it up for us. Never expected to bowl a team out for 27. I just tried to keep the ball in the good areas. Happy to get the wickets. (On Mitchell Starc) Unreal. For him to get 400 wickets in his 100th Test is special. From out perspective, it is amazing to see how much hard work he puts in. Happy for him."

The 22.3 overs of play that happened today has perfectly summed up not just this Test match, but the entire series. West Indies' pace-battery impressed us all. They bowled with intensity, vehemence and finesse throughout the three matches. But the batters, did not just managed to outdo the good they had done with disappointing performances each time.

Today, they hit a new low. West Indies end with the lowest total they have ever scored in the history. The second lowest overall in Test match cricket. Mitchell Starc was the wrecker in-chief. In his short burst before Tea, it seemed as if he had the ball on a string and the hosts did not have any answers whatsoever. The big left-armer returned excellent figures of 6-9 and went past 400 wickets in Tests.

Towards the end, Scott Boland feasted on the rabbit pie, becoming the 10th Australian to take a hat-trick in Test match cricket.

14.3 Mitchell Starc to Jayden Seales, BOWLED 'IM! WEST INDIES HAVE BEEN BUNDLED OUT FOR 27! STARC HAS A 6-FOR! Australia win by 176 runs and complete a clean sweep. Full and fast, tailed inwards to evade the inside edge of the bat. Seales was looking to drive but barely moved his feet. The stumps were rendered in shambles, embodying the state of the West Indies batting line-up.

14.2 Mitchell Starc to Alzarri Joseph, single! Significant as they have now successfully evaded the dreaded 26. Full again, angled in at the off peg. Joseph got a leading edge and Konstas at deep-ish gully misfielded.
