Sky Sports understands that Manchester United are on the verge of an agreement for Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes. The deal will reportedly be £43 million upfront, with £17 million in add ons.

The Portuguese maestro is set to feature in today's derby against Benfica, before flying to Manchester to ink a contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this weekend.
Inter Milan yet to bid for Christian Eriksen

Inter Milan are yet to make a formal bid for Christian Eriksen and the player will be available for Tottenham Hotspur's clash against Watford this weekend, according to Jose Mourinho. In his press conference ahead of the weekend's fixture, he said:

"If they are confident, they are confident because they are ready to make us an offer, which didn't happen yet. So when I see people speaking, especially people with responsibilities speaking about it, I am a little bit surprised. That's all I can say."

Spurs are demanding £17 million for the talented midfielder whose contract expires in the summer. Eriksen's agent has had discussions with Inter's Guissepe Marotta this week, and there have been rumours about a four and half year contract agreement.

Tottenham Hotspur have shifted gears in their pursuit of Norwich City's Max Aarons. According to Football Insider, the North London club have made several calls to the defender's representatives. 

Jose Mourinho has some concerns about his options at right fullback, so he's keen to clinch the signature of the pacey 20 year old ahead of rival teams.
New Barcelona manager Quique Setien blocks Arturo Vidal's departure

According to Sportsmole, Quique Setien is keen to work with Arturo Vidal, as he's an admirer of the Chilean's playing style. 

Vidal has been courted by Inter Milan, since he's hardly featured for Barca this season, and has been in a feud with the Catalan club over bonuses. 

The Chilean was expected to leave this winter, but Setien will look to block any transfer and hand the 32 year old more minutes in the second half of the season.

Ahead of his move to Inter Milan, erstwhile Manchester United captain Ashley Young has landed in Milan's Malpensa Airport, according to Sky Sports. He'll head to Coni's sports institute for his Inter medical.

Young is expected to join Antonio Conte's squad after a bid of £1.3 million was tabled by Inter. The 34 year old rejected a Man Utd renewal offer, opting instead for a 2 year contract offered by the Italian club.

According to Sky Sport's Geoff Shreeves, Manchester United's record signing Harry Maguire will take up the mantle of captain following Ashley Young's purported departure to Inter Milan.
