Updated: 13 February 2020 08:40 IST - Published: 13 February 2020 07:25 IST
...
I had a great time watching this one, guys, and I hope you did, too. I'm very much looking forward to TakeOver this Sunday,

I've been Kevin C. Sullivan, this has been NXT, and I'll see you all very soon!
...
Let's grab the match results:

NXT Champion Adam Cole defeated Kushida
Lio Rush defeats Angel Garza (new Cruiserweight Championship #1 contender)
Johnny Gargano defeats Cameron Grimes
Dakota Kai defeats Candice LaRae
Roderick Strong defeats Bronson Reed
...
Tomasso can't keep his eyes off "Goldie" as Cole informs him that he's not afraid of him.

And that's the show. THAT'S how you do a go-home show. That was great
...
And Ciampa comes out to stare down Cole before their match this weekend.
...
Cole with the Last Shot and GETS THE WIN, BAY-BAY!

RESULT: Adam Cole defeats Kushida in AN AMAZING MATCH
...
Cole fights his way out the two of them trade roll-up pins.

THIS.

FRIGGIN.

MATCH.
...
Cole selling the left arm injury ... and Kushida reverses a Panama Sunrise into a submission on that arm!
...
Cole with a shoulderbreaker on Kushida but still only gets a two count.

THIS FRIGGIN MATCH
...
...
Back from break and Kushida catches Cole into a cross-arm breaker, but Cole gets his foot on the ropes to break it up.
...
This damn match.

Thank goodness it's an ad break, because I need to catch my breath.
...
...
I think Beth Phoenix said "New Japan". Huh.
...
...
And we're ready for our main event - NXT Champion Adam Cole taking on Kushida. It's a non-title match. Which means anything can happen.
...
We're back from break and we're listening to Tomasso Ciampa reflecting on the day he had to give up the NXT title.
...
Ripley and Belair throw down, with Ripley getting the upper hand. It's gonna be a hell of a match on Sunday.

The BroserWeights stow away - with the Dusty Cup - in the luggage compartment on Triple H's private plane.
...
Bianca Belair takes down Santana Garrett in the amount of time it took me to reboot my laptop.

She grabs a mic and starts running down Rhea Ripley, who she's taking on this Sunday.

So, here comes Ripley.
...
...
...
Mark Henry narrating a video package about the match between North American champion Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic.
...
NXT Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin comes out with a mic, to get some trash talk in.

Those two will go at it in a title match on the show next week.
...
...
Rush goes for the Final Hour, but Garza gets his knees up. Garza goes for the Wing Clipper again, but Rush rolls him up in a small package and... GETS THE 3!

RESULT: Lio Rush defeats Angel Garza
...
Garza pulling Rush up to the second turnbuckle with him, attempting a Wing Clipper from there, but Rush counters it.
...
...
Garza goes for a powerbomb on the ring apron, but Rush kicks his way out.

Still, Angel manages to drape Lio over a security railing and kick Rush in the back.

Commercial time.
...
This is going to be insane to try and follow. I'm scared.
...
...
We're jumping right into Lio Rush vs Angel Garza to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Cruiserweight championship.
...
...
We're backstage, talking to Adam Cole - as Roderick Strong paces frustratingly in the background - and Cole cuts another one of his brilliant promos. He's taking on Kushida tonight.

Before the commercial break, we get a vignette of the BroserWeights paddling in a lake inside a boat shaped like a Swan. Riddle gets an idea on how to get to Portland.
...
After another set of reversals, Gargano gets the Escape on Grimes and this time, it sticks. Grimes taps out.

RESULT: Johnny Gargano defeats Cameron Grimes
...
Grimes reverse a cross body into a spinning powerslam in a beautiful move. Only gets a 2.

Then they trade superkicks.
...
The two competitors trade reversals back and forth, but Grimes eventually gets the upper hand. Following a slam, he gets a 2-count.
...
Grimes goes for a right hook, and totally whiffs it.
...
Back from break and Grimes nearly gets a three-count with a German suplex.
...
Gargano goes for his springboard DDT but Grimes blocks it, tosses him down and nails him with a lariat that nearly (metaphorically) takes his head off.

That's a heck of a way to go to commercial.
...
Gargano gets Grimes into the Gargano Escape and then modifies it when Grimes tries to make his way to the ropes.

Grimes punches his way out, but Gargano sciences his way back to an advantage.
...
...
Grimes and Gargano getting pretty scientific at the beginning of this match, which is a situation that probably won't last long.
...
...
We're back! And it's time for Gargano vs Grimes, the battles of the last names that start with G!

OK, they didn't really market it like that, But, it totally is.
...
Oh. Commercial time.
...
...
...
Security comes out to break up the altercation as the crowd chants "Let them fight!"

And speaking of "altercations", Gargano and Cameron Grimes apparently had one at a house show - kayfabe - and now they have a match coming up next.
...
Candice isn't having it and stalks Kai outside the ring.

Kai uses the ring bell to fight her off, but Tegan Nox hits the ring and joins the fight.
