WWE NXT Results (September 25th, 2019): Riddle and Dain brawl for a title shot, Walter makes an impact

Basically, there won't be this much wrestling on TV at once until WrestleMania next year. Probably.

Next week's a big one!
The "Season Premiere" of Raw on Monday
Fox is running some SmackDown specials on Tuesday and Thursday to get everybody hyped (except for Keith Olbermann, I guess)
Wednesday has both NXT and the premiere of AEW Dynamite
And Friday has the premiere of SmackDown of Fox!

I have never had to type "premiere" so many times in a row before in my life.

Next week, a full two hours on USA Network - no switching over to the WWE Network (unless you get a sudden urge to watch SWERVED or something, I guess) - but a really well-done episode tonight.

I was mistaken. Kushida was kicked in the head.

Here's what happened, results wise:
Keith Lee defeated Dominik Dijakovic
Dakota Kai defeated Taynara
Matt Riddle defeats Killian Dain and is now the #1 contender to the NXt Championship
Rhea Ripley defeats Kayden Carter
Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defeat Ever-Rise
Cameron Grimes defeats Raul Mendoza
Kushida and Breezango defeat Imperium.

WALTER nails Kushida as Imperium stands tall!

That's... well, that's the end of the show.

After a series of attacks I couldn't begin to hope to describe, Kushida bridges Bethel into a pin and...

Result: Kushida and Breezango defeat Imperium.

Kushida is celebrating but stops quickly because someone just punched him in the head.

I told you WALTER was back there.

Kushida with the cross-armbreaker on Bethel... nope.

McGuinness calls Fandango the "former dancing sensation", which... come on, man. He's still good at dancing.

Fandango is in!

Barthel goes for a pin, which Breeze kicks out of.

Breeze nearly gets a tag but, Imperium yank his partners off the apron. And Imperium are laying the boots on his as Breeze's partners are distracting the referee unintentionally while trying to get in there and help Prince Pretty.

He also made a reference to SaNitY, a group I miss a lot.

How great is next week's lineup going to be?

According to Sportskeeda's own Daniel Wood:

"Next week is basically a TakeOver"

Kushida starts out with Fabian Eichner and has the advantage, but Eichner tags in Marcel.... look, I'll look up how to spell his name after I post this, but Imperium has control now.

Also, Nigel just made a Demolition Man reference.

This is now my favorite announce team ever.

Kushida introduces his partners.

There's a siren, so I immediately think he's recruited Scott Steiner.

But, no! It's Breezango! Yay!

Speaking of Kushida, he's in the ring and.... before we can find out who his partners are, Imperium are being introduced.

For the uninitiated, Medoza was the guy who ripped off his pants during the Breakout Tournament.

Raul Mendoza is his opponent.

Cameron Grimes vs Raul Mendoza

We get a plug for WWE 2K20 and now Cameron Grimes is on his way to the ring.

Nice hat, Cameron.

Chelsea Green and Donna Perrazzo are in the crowd as Lorcan and Birch head to the back.

Lorcan and Birch hit what, I assume, is their new finisher, and get the win.

Result: Birch and Lorcan defeat Ever-Rise.

Birch gets the tag and is like a house on fire in there!

I'm not quite sure how that expression works.

Parker and Martel, who were are reminded for the third time have been best friends since the 3rd grade, get the upper hand after some cheating.

Lorcan is taking the brunt of the offense as Birch wants the tag.

After a quick plug for Hell in a Cell, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are in the ring. And they're taking on Ever-Rise. Who are from Canada.

Pumphandle slam by Ripley and she wins.

Result: Rhea Ripley defeats Kayden Carter

Huricanrana and then a bunch of other flippy moves by Carter and Ripley is (literally) on the ropes.

Delayed vertical suplex and a pin, but Carter kicks out.

So Ripley decides to just punch her in the face over and over.

The bell rings and Carter bursts into offense immediately with a quick dropkick.

Ripley basically just knocks her down and now she's got control.
