Reigns lives in reality, in the here and now. Bryan and Edge are dreamers, but it’s time to wake up. Their comeback stories don’t end with a title win. It ends with them being crushed by the Tribal Chief.

Many have called Reigns the top star in the business since SummerSlam, and Reigns has made superstars like Jey Uso. There’s much more to come, but not for Bryan and Edge. He vows to smash and stack them both before pinning them while the whole world acknowledges Roman Reigns.

...
Roman Reigns says that Edge and Bryan have had one good week against him, while the Tribal Chief has been dominating week in and week out since SummerSlam. Reigns brings in ratings for SmackDown. Reigns brings legitimacy to the Universal Championship.
...
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman come out to address Roman’s challengers. However, they do take time to acknowledge and celebrate Jey Uso’s win.

Ali and Ricochet are out next, leaving Corbin and Jey in the ring with Nakamura. The King of Strong Style sends the King to the floor with a knee.

An STO plants Jey, and Nakamura sets up for the Kinshasa. Jey stuns him with a super kick only for Nakamura to hit his finish anyway.

In the end, Jey is able to dump Nakamura overboard, winning the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Jey Uso wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
...
Ali, Nakamura, Jey Uso, Angel Garza, Murphy, Corbin, and Ricochet were the final seven. Corbin knocks Murphy to the floor, and Nakamura makes quick work of Garza.

T-Bar and Mace launch Humberto over the ropes. Their former ally, Slapjack, is dumped by Ryker and Elias.

The masked men get revenge by eliminating Elias and Ryker, but Mustafa Ali dispenses both of his former allies.
...
Erik of the Viking Raiders is out next, followed shortly by Drew Gulak.
...
Akira Tozawa is the first eliminated, with the former Hurt Business members Cedric Alexander and  Shelton Benjamin tossing him out. They follow up by eliminating Tucker.

When they turn around, the rest of the field goes after them. Shelton and Cedric are quickly dispatched as we head into a commercial break.

Sami tries to explain the footage to Michael Cole and Corey Graves but is attacked by Kevin Owens. Poor guy.

Next up is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal...which has been moved from ‘Mania to the go-home show for ‘Mania. What an honor.
...
We’re shown footage of Sami Zayn appearing at a training session between Logan and Jake Paul. When he goes to get his gear to join the sparring, he accidentally locks himself out. A security guard prevents him from entering again.

It’s a conspiracy against Sami!

Sasha Banks vows to make Bianca Belair tap out in the main event of WrestleMania night one.

This is Edge’s destiny, he’s the hero of his own story. No matter what that means for Roman or Daniel, Edge feels justified in whatever he has to do to become the next Universal Champion.
...

...
He then goes after Reigns, claiming that he’s the Samoan Edge. Debuts in a three-man group, has a heated rivalry/friendship with those he came up with, used a spear. He checks all the boxes.
...
Daniel Bryan has said that this could be his final WrestleMania. Edge shoots down that notion, stating “What do you think this is for me?” It very well could be his last one as well.

So instead of getting a clash between two icons of their own era, they’re now forced to fight an “indie bookstore troll.”
...
Edge is sitting in the middle of the ring when we return. He says that he fought for nine years to get his career back. He didn’t try to make another career off of his wrestling past. This is all he’s ever wanted to do.
...
...
Edge is out next, and he’s got a chair!

The other four teams in the tag team turmoil match begin to brawl backstage before they’re attacked by Nattie and Tamina. Everyone is left laying while the legacy superstars stand tall.
...
Tamina avoids an attack in the corner, sending Nia into the ring post. Nattie and Shayna brawl on the floor as Tamina rocks Nia with a superkick. A Samoan Drop drops Nia for what may have been the end, but Shayna breaks it up.

Tamina defeats Nia Jax via DQ.
...
Tamina has the early upper hand, but Reginald distracts her allowing Nia Jax to run right through her.
...
Next up is Nia Jax, who will take on her cousin and former tag team partner Tamina.

At WrestleMania, Wale will perform Big E’s entrance live.
