A bed is one of the blocks in Minecraft that you should make very early in the game, probably before your first night unless youâd like to hide away until the morning.
 Â
Beds are really simple to make, only needing two different ingredients that are really easy to get within the first few minutes of opening a Minecraft world for the first time. Beds are really important as they allow you to skip through the night once it starts to get dark, which prevents mobs from spawning at the surface.Â
Â
all you need to make a Chest is the following:
Â
The first step in making chest is to cut down some wood to gather planks. To make a bed, for example, the player needs a minimum of 2 logs. Itâs recommended, however, that the player cuts down more to begin their game.
Â
When making a crafting table, start by converting those recently acquired logs into wooden planks. To make wooden planks, simply place the logs that were collected into one of the slots in the survival inventory crafting table, as demonstrated below.
Once the logs are converted into wooden planks, you can then progress to making a crafting table. To make a crafting table, place four wooden planks in the survival crafting menu to fill each of the slots in the square once, as demonstrated below.
Now that you have a crafting table, you must go out and look for some sheep.Â
Â
For a bed, you need to collect a minimum of 3 wool. Sometimes players will just kill the sheep, as that also drops wool, but the best way to do this is to use a pair of shears.Â
Wool can be found on sheep in Minecraft, and you can use shears to collect that wool. A single sheep can produce infinite amounts of wool over time, but will only give out from 1-3 pieces each time they are sheared.Â
Shears are a tool created using two pieces of iron, and can be made as shown above. Simply place two iron ingots diagonally from each other in the survival inventory crafting table.
Now that youâve made your shears, theyâre ready for use!
After finding a sheep, you can right-click the sheep with the shears to collect the sheepâs wool without hurting the mob itself.Â
Seeing as you only need 3 pieces of wool to make a bed, you might get enough wool on the first shear. If not, you can shear the other sheep in the area; if you only have the one by you, you can just wait for it to eat some grass.Â
When a sheep eats grass, its wool gets regenerated and grows back.
Now that you have all the necessary blocks, you can make your bed.
First, place down the crafting table and open the crafting table GUI.Â
Next, place a line of wood in either the middle or bottom row of the crafting table. Put a layer of wool on top of that wood to make a bed, as shown below.
Â
Making colorful beds to match your surroundings is really easy, as you just need to combine any dye color with the basic white bed. To make each dye color, watch this video.
Â
To use a bed, simply place it down.
Â
Then, if it is night, right-click the bed to enter it. You should see a similar screen to what is shown below.
Â
Give command for a bed in Minecraft:
/give @p minecraft:[color}_bed 1
Â
Unfortunately, there isnât a way to sleep in Minecraft without a bed. If you do not have a bed, you must wait through the night. Some people like to sit AFK through the night, but itâs recommended that you keep working on your base or keep mining through the night to stay as productive as possible.
Beds in Minecraft only explode in the Nether and the End. Trying to sleep in a bed in either of those dimensions will make the bed explode.
Â
Conclusion
Congratulations! You have successfully made your bed in Minecraft. Now you may rest easily without any mobs spawning, and sleep away the nights so you can work and build in the day. Sleeping, although not vital in Minecraft, is recommended so that you are not threatened by the hostile mobs that spawn at night in the dark. Itâs enough to encounter them in the mines as youâre searching for resources, let alone to have them banging on your front door at night.
Happy sleeping!
