The world tour of UFC 189 took a stop in Jose Aldo's country of Brazil. Conor McGregor was not the fan favorite here and was being booed by the public. But the Irishman was not deterred by the hostile crowd. McGregor stayed calm and confident and went on to deliver some of his most iconic lines in the UFC:

"I own this town. I own Rio de Janeiro... So, for him to say he is the king and I am the joker, If this was a different time, I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that was not fit to work. But we are in a new time, so I'll whoop his a-- in July."

The fight did not ultimately take place at UFC 189 as Aldo pulled out. McGregor instead fought and defeated Chad Mendes to become the interim 145-pound champion.
