Ali Abdelaziz has made an interesting revelation about his fighter Marvin Vettori.

The founder and president of Dominance MMA manages several UFC champions, the most notable among them being Khabib Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman, and Henry Cejudo. He spoke to Helen Yee after the Kevin Lee vs. Diego Sanchez main event at Eagle FC 46.

Abdelaziz revealed that for his upcoming fight (not yet officially announced) against Robert Whittaker, 'The Italian Dream' will be training in Dagestan:

"Marvin 'The Dream' Vettori, the future UFC champion will fight Robert Whittaker and will dethrone Robert Whittaker. I'm gonna tell you something – I have never met a young man who is more motivated, inspired and works harder than Marvin Vettori... I think where Marvin Vettori is mentally, he cannot be beaten and he's going to do a little training in Dagestan."

Dagestan is the birthplace of the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov as well as other high-level mixed martial artists such as Islam Makhachev. Dagestani fighters are known to possess exceptional wrestling skills. Vettori is also known for his wrestling and will look to further hone his skills when he trains in Dagestan for a potential bout against 'The Reaper'.

Contracts have not been signed yet, but the fight is close to being finalized for the UFC 275 pay-per-view on June 11.

Ali Abdelaziz happy that the PFL stepped up to finalize a deal with Kayla Harrison

Ali Abdelaziz found himself in new territory with Kayla Harrison over the past several months. According to him, Harrison is the first fighter he has managed to test free agency.

After winning her second consecutive PFL women’s lightweight tournament last year, the two-time Olympic gold medallist in judo decided to weigh her options once her contract was over. 'Doug' did end up re-signing with the PFL, which reportedly matched Bellator's offer.

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz praised the PFL but stated that it was difficult to get the deal done for Kayla Harrison:

"PFL has always been a great partner. I never take a fighter to free agency in my life. That was my first time ever. It was brutal. It was tough. It was hard. It’s like I wanted to be respectful to everybody. I want to give a big shoutout to Mike Kogan, Scott Coker, Bellator. PFL allowed us to go to free agency, we went to free agency, [and] that came with an unbelievable offer.”
