UFC middleweight Chris Curtis recently sparked a debate regarding U.S. gun laws and asked if people would agree to ban firearms if it resulted in zero school shootings. Curtis posed this question after the recent mass shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 27.
'The Action Man' posted a series of tweets where he attempted to get a comprehensive understanding of public opinion on the debate trading personal security in favor of protecting kids' lives.
"Not picking a side but I want a simple yes or no answer... Would you personally agree to giving up firearms if it meant there would never be another child killed in a mass shooting? Just a yes or no answer please..."

What did UFC commentator Joe Rogan say about U.S. gun laws?
UFC commentator Joe Rogan has previously shared his opinion on mass shootings in the United States and the type of gun control policy that needs to be applied to prevent such tragedies.
Recently, a 28-year-old shot and killed six people, including three children, in a school shooting in Nashville on March 27. The attack was one of 130 mass shootings recorded in the country this year alone and triggered a massive wave of sympathies and a familiar cycle of calls to action and open-ended questions.
While many have called for a complete ban on weapons, the UFC commentator believes that addressing mental health problems is the key to stopping violent crimes of this scale.
In episode #1824 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan spoke with scientist Lex Fridman and claimed:
"People aren't going to just give their guns up, as f***ked up as that sounds, because it's not the law-abiding people with guns that are the problem. It's the people with mental health problems that are the problem, and they get a hold of guns. So how do you stop the people with mental health problems from getting guns, that's the question."
