Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov will clash at the co-main event on the last UFC card of 2022, UFC Fight Night 216: Cannonier vs. Strickland. Tsarukyan, whose nickname is 'Ahalkalakets', will make his eighth UFC appearance, while the bout will serve as Ismagulov's sixth promotional appearance.

Arman Tsarukyan is currently ranked No. 9 in the UFC lightweight rankings, while Damir Ismagulov is ranked No. 12.

Arman Tsarukyan stands at 5'7" (170 cm) and has a reach of 72.5 inches. He last weighed in at 156 pounds in his fight against Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Vegas 57. 'Ahalkalakets' lost the five-round bout via unanimous decision.

Tsarukyan has only two losses in the UFC. He lost one to current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 149, and the other to Gamrot in his last outing. He has a UFC record of 5-2 and an overall MMA record of 18-3.

Damir Ismagulov stands three inches taller than his opponent at 5'10" (178 inches) and has a longer reach at 74 inches. The Russian fighter last weighed in at 155 pounds against Guram Kutateladze at UFC on ESPN 37, where he won the fight via unanimous decision.

Ismagulov has only one loss on his professional record and has been undefeated since 2015. He is riding a five-fight win streak, winning all his UFC bouts with a promotional record of 5-0, and has an overall MMA record of 24-1.

Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov are two top lightweights with impressive records. Although 'Ahalkalakets' is ranked higher than Damir Ismagulov, the latter has more fights and wins on his professional record. Furthermore, Ismagulov has only one career loss, via unanimous decision.

Despite their records and stats, Arman Tsarukyan is the -225 betting favorite against the +190 betting underdog Damir Ismagulov. The fight will co-headline UFC Fight Night 217, where No. 3-ranked middleweight Jared Cannonier will take on No. 7-ranked Sean Strickland in the main event.
