Arnold Allen's bout against Calvin Kattar was meant to be one of the fights of the year. However, the American suffered an injury during the bout, precipitating an early demise for the contest. Nonetheless, Allen was winning the battle on the feet.

'Almighty' landed 28 total strikes against Kattar, with the official UFC stats deeming all of the strikes significant. His opponent only managed to land 14 strikes, with the UFC once again deeming all of Kattar's strikes significant.

Despite his lack of success, Calvin Kattar mixed up his striking during the contest. 35% of Kattar's strikes were to Allen's head, with 21% of the American's attacks aimed at the Englishman's legs. 42% of Kattar's strikes landed on Allen's body.

However, Arnold Allen was much more focused on headhunting, with 75% of Allen's strikes directed to Kattar's head.

Despite a disappointing end to the bout, Allen is now on an impressive 10-fight win streak in the UFC. This puts 'Almighty' in good company, matching the current pound-for-pound king Alexander Volkanovski's featherweight win streak.

Allen was modest when speaking to Michael Bisping after the bout. However, he seemed eager for either an interim title shot or an opportunity to face Volkanovski for the belt in his next UFC outing.


Who has Arnold Allen beaten during his unbeaten UFC run?

Arnold Allen made his UFC debut against Alan Omer at UFC Fight Night 69: Jędrzejczyk vs. Penne in 2015 and has remained unbeaten ever since. Allen submitted Omer in the final round, but went on to score back-to-back decision wins against Yaotzin Meza and Makwan Amirkhani.

His second UFC stoppage victory came against Mads Burnell, with 'Almighty' once again winning via submission in the third and final round at UFC Fight Night 130: Thompson vs. Till.

Allen would once again have to wait a while to get another stoppage victory, with Jordan Rinaldi, Gilbert Melendez, Nik Lentz and Sodiq Yusuff all proving to be tough matchups.

However, the Englishman has managed to win his last two UFC outings via stoppage. He TKO'd Dan Hooker in the first round at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall, and more recently the aforementioned Calvin Kattar.
