UFC featherweight contenders Calvin Kattar and Arnold Allen locked horns in the main event of UFC Fight Night 213. Allen took home the victory via TKO as Kattar suffered a knee injury.

Coming into the fight, Arnold Allen was on a 11-fight win streak, nine of which came in the UFC. 'Almighty's incredible run in the UFC included wins over Gilbert Melendez, Nik Lentz, Sodiq Yusuff and Dan Hooker.

Kattar, on the other hand, was coming off a split decision loss against Josh Emmett. An impressive win on October 29 could have improved either fighter's chances of getting a title shot.

Although it was shaping up to be an exciting fight, the contest ended on an unfortunate note. Kattar suffered a knee injury in the opening round of the fight which compromised his fighting abilities.

The injury continued to bother Kattar and the fight was eventually stopped just eight seconds into the second round.

Arnold is now on a 10-fight win streak in the UFC, the same as the current UFC featherweight king, Alexander Volkanovski.

Although Allen extended his winning streak to 12, the victory may not result in him getting a title shot next. There are other contenders like Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett waiting for their shot at UFC gold. 'Almighty's win at UFC Vegas 63 likely did not make him stand out from the rest of the division due to the nature of his opponent's injury.

Arnold Allen reluctantly calls out Alexander Volkanovski for a fight

During his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, Arnold Allen had trouble coming up with a name for a call-out.

'Almighty' first stated that the win might not warrant a title fight against Alexander Volkanovski. He wanted to fight for the interim title. When asked by Bisping about an ideal opponent for the interim championship fight, Allen failed to come up with a name.

After being asked a few more times by 'The Count', the 28-year-old hestitantly called out Volkanovski for a fight.

"Volkanovski asked the guys to make a statement and it's another injury, TKO by injury. I can't really ask for a title shot off this. Maybe give me the interim job... If Volkanovski's gonna be out for a while, you know, going up in weight, give me the interim shot, you know? I feel like I deserve it...Okay, give me the title shot. Come on, Volk."
