The legal battle between Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov does not seem to be ending anytime soon.

Former UFC fighter Artem Lobov sued 'The Notorious' for failing to give the Russian his fair share of the proceeds from the sale of McGregor's company shares. 'The Russian Hammer' claimed that he played a crucial role in the establishment of McGregor's company Proper No. Twelve Whiskey before he was forced out of business.

According to an article in the Irish Independent, Lobov is requesting 5% of the proceeds from McGregor's sale of the company to Jose Cuervo's parent company, Proximo Spirits, last year. McGregor and his partners are said to have profited $600 million from the sale.

In a recent turn of events, the Commercial Court rejected Artem Lobov's claim against Conor McGregor due to a "significant lapse in time," following which the case will now progress to the High Court.

The Irish Independent reported:

“The Commercial Court, which fast tracks the hearing of big money disputes today declined to enter the whiskey dispute onto its list, meaning the case will now progress at a slower pace in another court.”

Conor McGregor blasts Artem Lobov for not living up to his words

Conor McGregor has taken to Twitter to express his outrage at his former friend's demand for a portion of the profits from his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey brand as their legal dispute continues.

An image shared by 'The Notorious', apparently from an Instagram conversation between the two back in 2019, read Lobov swearing on his child's life not to take a penny out of their deal. And that he was only trying to help out the Irishman:

"Another message from Lobov to McGregor allegedly said: 'Now that I told you all this and like I said I swear on my child I will not take a cent, this is something I cannot go back on.'"

Sharing the image, McGregor wrote:

"Swearing on your child's life is ludicrous pal. Actually Revolting. 'Keeps me warm on the coldest of nights' hahaha f***sake lad wtf happened you man? P*ss off and leave me alone how bout that lad? F**kin turn coat pr*ck."
