MMA Fighting recently broke the news that Ibrahim Yazeed, the prime suspect in the killing of UFC fighter Walt Harris' 19-year-old step-daughter, Aniah Blanchard, has been indicted on multiple charges.

A grand jury in Alabama indicted Yazeed with a count of capital murder during kidnapping, capital murder involving a victim in a vehicle and capital murder during a robbery.

If found guilty of these charges, Yazeed will be subject to the death penalty or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Last seen in a convenience store in Auburn, Alabama, 'The Big Ticket's step-daughter Blanchard was reported missing in October 2019.

As the news spread, several efforts were made to find her.

UFC president Dana White also made a video urging the public to help with any information they might have in connection to Blanchard's disappearance.

"Aniah Blanchard is the 19-year-old daughter of one of the members of the UFC family, Walt Harris. And she has gone missing. Aniah was last seen in Auburn, Alabama on October 23rd. To help find Aniah, I'm contributing an additional $25,000 to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey's $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard...Please share this message and keep Aniah, Walt and their entire family in your thoughts."

After the video, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones also stepped in and announced an additional reward of $25,000 from his own pocket.

Surveillance footage from the convenience store released by the Auburn police department showed Yazeed being present there at the same time as her.

In November, Yazeed was charged with first-degree kidnapping and a few days later, Blanchard's remains were found by the authorities.

Walt Harris returned to fighting six months after the passing of her daughter

After mourning the loss of her daughter for six months, Walt Harris made his return to the UFC. 'The Big Ticket' took on MMA legend Alistair Overeem in May 2020. Harris ended up on the losing side as he was knocked out by Overeem in the second round of the fight.

Things did not get any easier for the 39-year-old from that point on. Harris went on to lose his next two fights against Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura, both by TKO.

'The Big Ticket' has not competed since his last fight against Tybura in June 2021. There is no indication as to when the 39-year-old will compete again.
