Chael Sonnen reveals biggest difference between surging UFC stars Paddy Pimblett and Sean O'Malley

Chael Sonnen recently broke down the key difference between the stardom of Paddy Pimblett and Sean O'Malley in the UFC.

Acknowledging their similar age and the fact that they compete in the same era, the former middleweight title challenger pointed out that Pimblett is the first UFC star who has yet to establish a rivalry or an ongoing feud with a potential opponent. On the other hand, O'Malley always seems to know who he wants to face next.

In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen analyzed the critical difference between Paddy Pimblett and Sean O'Malley's rise in the promotion, saying:

"We have never had a star ever that doesn't have an opponent. I could just use 'Sugar' Sean, since... they're in the same era... One thing that Sean has that is very different than Paddy, is an opponent in mind. Sean has always been calling for someone."

While both fighters are undoubtedly massive draws, Sean O'Malley seems to have a more definitive goal of becoming bantamweight champion and has been gunning for a title shot against the winner of Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. Paddy Pimblett calls out Jared Gordon for a rematch to settle the controversial UFC 282 win

Paddy Pimblett defeated Jared Gordon at UFC 282 via a controversial unanimous decision. While the Liverpudlian kept his unbeaten streak in the UFC intact, fans and viewers heavily criticized the judges' scoring and deemed Gordan a victim of a robbery.

The 28-year-old Liverpool native uploaded a video to his YouTube channel from the hospital after he had surgery on what his doctor concluded to be a “multi-ligament sprain” on his right foot.

Pimblett issued an angry callout to Gordon, revealing that he is open to a rematch with 'Flash,' attributing his lackluster performance to injury. Speaking from the hospital bed, the Liverpudlian stated:

"People are like, 'Oh, Jared Gordon did so well.' He only done well because me ankle was f**ked... He's just being a bitter little girl, going on every interview site, 'Oh, I won that fight, I won that fight'... I want to punch his head in towards the end of the year. I am going to run it back... "I hope he watches this. You're f**king dog s**t. At my worst, you couldn't beat me at your best."

Meanwhile, Gordon will face Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night 222 on April 22 at the UFC Apex.
