Christian Lee is excited to see ONE Championship heading to the United States for the very first time in spring 2023.

The promotion announced that they will head to the mainland on May for the 10th installment of its ONE on Prime Video events. Emanating from the 1stBank Center in Colorado, ONE on Prime Video 10 will be headlined by a massive trilogy bout between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and former titleholder Adriano Moraes.

In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘The Warrior’ shared his excitement over the promotion’s North American debut, saying:

“It’s exciting. I’m so glad that ONE Championship is finally coming to the U.S. They’ve been doing so great, completely dominating in Asia. And now with the Amazon Prime deal touching down in the U.S., I think that it’s a big time for ONE Championship.”

Christian Lee is coming off the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career, defeating former welterweight king Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4 to become a two-division world champion. With two world titles to defend, could we see ‘The Warrior’ step back into the circle when the promotion heads to the U.S. this spring?

Christian Lee had some extra motivation going into title fight with Kiamrian Abbasov

When Christian Lee stepped into the circle on November 18, he was undoubtedly motivated by the opportunity to become a two-division world champion, but as it turns out, that wasn’t the only motivating factor that aided him in making history at ONE on Prime Video 4.

After successfully defeating Kiamrian Abbasov to capture the welterweight crown, Lee made the special announcement that he was going to be a father once again.

“To me, it's added motivation. There was already enough pressure and enough motivation, fighting to provide for my one daughter, and now with another baby on the way I got to do my job. As a dad, I got to provide for my family. So losing was not an option.”

With another child on the way, Lee found himself in a situation where losing was not an option. That motivation carried him to a history-making moment, capturing his second world championship and solidifying his status as the most prolific finisher in ONE Championship history.
