Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee of the United States and Singapore wasn't just sitting on the sidelines while he spent two years away from competition.
He was also scouting his next challenger.
Lee has kept a close eye on undefeated Turkish star Alibeg Rasulov and knew immediately he would face him in the Circle one day.
Speaking as a guest star on The Brian Campbell Experience, 'The Warrior' talked about his next opponent.
The two-division ONE world champion stated:
"I found out I was going to fight Alibeg because the Ok [Rae Yoon] fight, Ok and him, they called it a title eliminator, so after that fight I knew that he was going to be my opponent."
Lee has not seen action since his November 2022 victory over Kiamrian Abbasov to reach champ-champ status. Later that same year, his younger sister 'The Prodigy' Victoria Lee, tragically took her own life.
The Singaporean-American star has not returned since. But he'll be back in action next weekend when he defends his ONE lightweight MMA world title against the unbeaten Rasulov.
It all comes to a head at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.
