In the ONE on Prime Video 4 main event, ONE lightweight world champion Christian Lee sought two-division glory as he challenged for the welterweight world title against Kiamrian Abbasov.

Unable to make weight ahead of the bout, Abbasov was stripped of the title, but ‘The Warrior’ was still eligible to capture it as he made weight ahead of Friday night’s headliner.

In the opening moments, Kiamrian Abbasov came out very aggressive, putting hands on Christian Lee early. Lee attempted to stand his ground, but Abbasov walked through everything Lee threw at him. Lee landed a much-needed takedown to slow the pace, but Abbasov was able to power his way back to his feet.

As the pace slowed, Christian Lee began to land but ate a nasty right from Abbasov that dropped him. Lee was in pure survival mode as Abbasov emptied his gas tank trying to score a finish. Lee secured a late-round takedown and survived to see the second.

After a fast and furious first round, the pace began to slow, but both fighters still landed heavy shots on one another. Lee continued to be the man moving forward while Abbasov was content to sit back and counter.

With things relatively even in the second and third, Lee began to pull away in the fourth, targeting the lead leg of Abbasov and landing a series of solid combinations and vicious elbows.

With Abbasov reeling, Lee landed a double leg, quickly mounted his opponent and dropped a series of elbows until referee Herb Dean stepped in with less than a minute left in the fourth round.

Official Result: Christian Lee defeated Kiamrian Abbasov via TKO (strikes) at 4:20 of round four

Christian Lee is a two-division ONE world champion following another spectacular performance at ONE on Prime Video 4

With his incredible victory over the much bigger and stronger Kiamrian Abbasov, Christian Lee is now a two-division world champion, reigning over the lightweight and welterweight divisions. Following the victory, ‘The Warrior’ spoke with Mitch Chilson to discuss the biggest win of his career:

“I give Abbasov credit man. He was the champion for a reason. Very tough dude. I left it in the ring. I can hardly carry these belts, but yeah, I didn’t know where I was, but a true champion never quits so I found a way to come back.”

Asked how he managed to deliver such an epic comeback after nearly being finished in the first round, Lee said:

“It’s the training, man. There’s no way around hard work. That’s the truth. In the cage here, there’s no shortcuts. What you put in is what you get out. I have an amazing team. My coach, my dad helping me strategize. My little brother is the next champion right there. The list goes on. So many friends back home. My whole training room was full. I was able to get in great work. Without that, I wouldn’t have been able to push.”

Christian Lee also earned himself a $50,000 bonus for his inspiring performance.
