Conor McGregor holds the unwavering opinion that he was winning the trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, up until the fight came to an end after his leg injury. During a recent Twitter tirade, McGregor doubled down on his stance, claiming that Poirier was visibly dazed by some of the shots he landed in their fight at UFC 264.

During their second fight from the trilogy series at UFC 257, calf kicks played a significant role as the differentiator between the two combatants. Poirier invested early with the leg kicks, which later paid dividends. Having chopped down McGregor's lead leg base, Poirier flurried with a barrage of punches, clocking the TKO finish at 2:32 of the second round.

Conor McGregor adopted a karate stance for the third fight, a sharp departure from the boxing-heavy approach in the rematch. Speaking about the fight on the Twitter tirade, 'The Notorious' claimed that he did not take a single calf-kick from Poirier at UFC 264:

"I took not one calf kick in the trilogy. Trust me they won't be getting given for free again. Little wanker kicks they are. If you can't kick, kick the calf."

McGregor added that some of the strikes he landed on Dustin Poirier did significant damage. According to the Irishman, 'The Diamond' was visibly dazed and had to take some time to gather his thoughts in the post-fight interview:

"That's dribble and you know it. He was in space the last fight, he didn't know where he was when giving his speeches and interviews. That fight was going only one way. Time will show. I've beat everyone I've fought multiple times in the UFC. I'm the boss of the business."

Dustin Poirier anticipates "slaping around" Conor McGregor after he wraps up shooting for Road House

Conor McGregor will make his acting debut in the Hollywood classic Road House. While his role in the remake is currently unknown, many believe that the two-time UFC Champion will play Dalton's unseen adversary, Jimmy (originally played by Marshall Teague).

Dustin Poirier, who has shared the octagon thrice with 'The Notorious', claimed at the UFC 271 media appearance that he wouldn't entertain a fourth fight with the Irishman.

Poirier, currently recovering from a gnarly staph infection, posted graphic images of his condition. Conor McGregor responded by aiming a slight dig at 'The Diamond', wishing him a speedy recovery.

Poirier retaliated by calling McGregor's upcoming movie "roid house" in light of news that the Irishman has dropped out of the USADA testing pool:

"You done filming Roid House and ready to get slapped around again?"
