Conor McGregor recently took to Instagram, and in one of his stories, teased his return to the UFC octagon. This was after a fan page of 'The Notorious' reposted a statement from Dana White in which the UFC boss promised fans an update on the Irishman's return in the near future.
Naturally, McGregor shared the fan page's post on an Instagram story, where he expressed satisfaction with how he and White conduct business together, even tagging the UFC CEO. Unfortunately, besides McGregor's own confidence in the matter, there's still nothing concrete regarding his next fight.
Still, if his words are anything to go off of, it appears that he and the UFC have come to an agreement. In the aforementioned story, McGregor wrote:
"We get sh*t done! Point blank!"

White's statement on McGregor's comeback was made during a recent Instagram live session. It marks the first major sign of hope for fans of 'The Notorious,' who were dismayed following his withdrawal from UFC 303, which he was originally scheduled to headline against Michael Chandler.
Unfortunately, a fractured toe forced him to pull out of the bout, drawing widespread disapproval. He did though, have some support from his fellow UFC roster-mates, including reigning light heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira. Nevertheless, many took McGregor's withdrawal as a negative sign.
There was a pervasive fear that he would simply not make it back into the octagon. However, McGregor has been actively campaigning for his return. The UFC though, has not made any sort of official announcement yet.
Dana White previously dismissed any talk of Conor McGregor fighting in 2024
While Dana White's Instagram live didn't offer any specific details regarding Conor McGregor's next bout, there was a hopeful tone, which is a significant turnaround from previous assertions. Not long ago, White stated that McGregor would not fight at all in 2024, leaving many scratching their heads.
In a press conference, White was asked about McGregor's return, to which he replied by saying:
"Not this year. He won't fight this year."
