Cory Sandhagen has addressed the Jon Jones heavyweight title saga by placing himself in the shoes of Dana White, the UFC CEO. 'Bones' appears to be unwilling to face interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall in a unification bout, much to fans' frustration.
There have been calls for Jones to be stripped of his title, with fans and pundits feeling that the New York native is holding the division back. To the point that fans have created a petition about 'Bones' being forcibly removed as champion.
Sandhagen, who recently appeared at a fan Q&A alongside Amanda Nunes and Jon Anik, was asked if he would strip Jones if he were in White's position. He said:
"Yeah, I mean if you don't fight you've got to get stripped of the belt, right? If you're not going to fight." [28:20-28:27]
