Dana White and Paddy Pimblett are just two of several big names who have given sizable donations to PFL star Stevie Ray's daughter's GoFundMe.

Myla Natalie Ray was diagnosed with cortical dysplasia type 2 in October 2022 and requires £100,000 in order to have brain surgery. But by the looks of it, the amount has almost been raised.

The total raised currently sits at close to £99,000 thanks largely to some of the biggest figures in MMA. Dana White, Paddy Pimblett, Laura Sanko, Paul Craig, Shane Burgos and many other prominent MMA personalities kindly donated to the cause.

The Professional Fighters League (PFL), where Stevie Ray currently competes, donated the largest sum of all, a staggering £15,000, showcasing the lengths they are willing to go to look after their fighters.

PFL star Kayla Harrison donated to her fellow fighter's cause, and Ariel Helwani and UFC fighter Angela Hill also contributed.

Ray will face Natan Schulte in his next bout, which takes place at the PFL lightweight tournament in April.

Jorge Masvidal comments on Dana White claiming Colby Covington will get title shot next

Leon Edwards defeated Kamaru Usman via majority decision at UFC 286 on March 18 to defend his welterweight title for the first time.

At the post-event press conference, UFC president Dana White announced that Edwards would face Colby Covington next. This shocked fans and media members, as the general consensus is that Covington has not done enough to prove that he deserves a shot at the title.

'Chaos' last fought in March 2022 in a win against Jorge Masvidal, but his inactivity meant that fans were confused by White's comments.

However, Jorge Masvidal appears to think that Dana White's statement may not be final. Masvidal has a history with Edwards that stems from their scuffle several years ago. Their beef would provide a thrilling backstory should 'Gamebred' somehow be awarded the title shot instead of 'Chaos'.

Masvidal is set to take on Gilbert Burns in the co-main event of UFC 287 next weekend. A stellar performance against a top-ranked welterweight like Burns could be enough to grant 'Gamebred' the title shot.

Jorge Masvidal recently appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani and stated:

"I love Dana but Dana says a lot of things. History says one thing - whoever makes the most noise when they fight, whoever f***ing sells the most pay-per-views and whoever fans want to see [fight]. At the end of the day that's who will get the fight."
