Daniel Cormier blasted Jon Jones while responding to Jones making fun of him and Chael Sonnen and citing their paycheck. Cormier claimed that he earns more than 'Bones' and that the reigning heavyweight champion's best paydays are directly related to him.
Cormier and Sonnen co-host the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast on ESPN MMA's YouTube channel, where they previously discussed Jones repeatedly avoiding a title unification bout with interim champion Tom Aspinall and facing an older opponent in Stipe Miocic at UFC 309.
In response, Jones took to X earlier this month and slammed his former adversaries, taking aim at their earnings:
''Jon Jones whooped both of y’all, but hey—why not team up on a podcast and gossip about his life? Meanwhile, he’s out here making your annual salary in a week. Stay busy, boys.''

This sparked a reaction from Cormier, who recently posted a YouTube video. 'DC' said:
''It seems as though Jon Jones doesn’t like being talked about by two of the biggest voices in this game, and I’m going to pull the curtain back...His resume is impeccable, star power, his ability to sell, matches up with anybody in the business. But guess what? Daniel Cormier’s resume matches up with anybody in the business.''
Furthermore, Cormier said that Jones earns more than him only when he fights:
''Jon Jones don’t make more money than me in a week! He makes more money than me, when he fights! We’re over here eating. The biggest paydays you ever had were directly tied to me! I’m talking about you, and I’m getting paid to talk about you, but I don’t fight no more ’cause all I can really do is talk. That’s what I do.''

Daniel Cormier slams Jon Jones for avoiding fight with Tom Aspinall
According to UFC CEO Dana White, the highly anticipated Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall matchup will take place this year. However, there hasn't been any official announcement from the promotion, leaving fans frustrated.
In the aforementioned YouTube video, Daniel Cormier bashed Jones' behavior, saying:
''You fight! Or at least, you’re supposed to fight. You’re talking about me, Francis, Chael, and almost ignoring the right thing...if I was still fighting today, and I was still the heavyweight champion and Tom Aspinall was the No.1 contender, I would’ve already fought him...This dude Jon Jones is still talking? Come on.” [0:54]
