Fans recently expressed their thoughts on Jon Jones' phone number leak prank. Many jokingly suggested that the number might be of Jones' former opponents and UFC Hall of Famers Daniel Cormier or Chael Sonnen.
For context, reigning UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has been calling out Jones for a title unification bout for quite a while now. However, the promotion has yet to schedule a fight between the two.
Jones recently posted a fake phone number on X in an attempt to make fun of Aspinall, hoping the British fighter would contact him and request a fight. He captioned the post:
''If you want me to fight Tom call and text me, I’ll respond for the next few days''
Fans soon rushed to the comments section to share their reactions.
One fan wrote:
''Dc watching his phone blow up''
Another fan stated:
''Bro just doxxed someone''
Other fans wrote:
''Damn Jones really won the rivalry with DC posted his number''
''Stipe is going to get injured in 2 weeks, keeping him out for 5 months. Jones X Aspinall on the December card''

Jones claimed in another post that Aspinall could text the aforementioned phone number if it gets disconnected, and he would receive a response shortly. He wrote:
''If the phone ends up getting turned off, just keep texting. You’ll get a reply soon.''
Jones is expected to defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic later this year. Meanwhile, Aspinall is coming off a spectacular first-round knockout against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 last month. Following UFC 304, UFC CEO Dana White revealed that the 31-year-old would serve as a backup for the Jones vs. Miocic fight.
Dana White anticipates Jon Jones will face Tom Aspinall after Stipe Miocic fight
Jon Jones was scheduled to make his comeback against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295. The fight, however, was called off after 'Bones' tore his pectoral muscle.
Jones' injury allowed Tom Aspinall to win the interim heavyweight title. UFC CEO Dana White believes Jones will go up against Aspinall after his expected fight against Miocic. In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, White said:
"After Stipe and Jon fight, whoever wins, the Aspinall fight is even bigger... Jon Jones always loves to challenge himself, moved up to heavyweight. I don't know what Jon Jones will do after this fight, but I would be shocked if he didn't want to test himself against Aspinall."
