Dillon Danis seems to have a backup plan ready in case his upcoming boxing match against KSI fails to materialize. Danis is set to face the British YouTuber-turned-boxer on January 14 at Wembley Arena in London.

'El Jefe' and KSI will headline the MF & DAZN: X Series 004 event, which will mark the return of the Bellator welterweight to combat sports after being sidelined for over three years due to knee surgery.

In a recent interview with Chael Sonnen, Danis claimed that KSI intends to back out from their matchup. That prompted 'The American Gangster' to question his decision to box an internet personality instead of returning to Bellator to compete in an MMA fight.

Citing money as the main motivator, Danis further made a bold claim:

"It's a lot of money to beat up a guy that doesn't know how to fight... I feel like this fight won't happen... Feel like they're looking for a way out and if that does happen... I would jump on that Bellator card on March 2 or 3, Fedor [Emelianenko] and Ryan Bader."

Fedor Emelianenko will make his last walk to the octagon at Bellator 290 to challenge Ryan Bader for the heavyweight title on February 4.

Currently, tt seems unlikely that Dillon Danis will feature on the same card as the Russian MMA icon as there is no official indication of KSI backing out as of this writing.

Dillon Danis previews his upcoming boxing match against KSI

Dillon Danis is confident in his abilities ahead of his upcoming boxing match against KSI. With that, he expects to get the better of the British YouTuber easily.

Danis and KSI are gearing up to face each other in the squared circle as they headline the MF & DAZN: X Series 004 event at Wembley Arena in London on January 14. While 'El Jefe' has a professional MMA record of 2-0 as a Bellator welterweight, his opponent has a pro boxing record of 3-0 with two knockouts.

In the same interview, Chael Sonnen asked Danis about the pressure he feels going up against a more experienced boxer. Dillon Danis replied:

"I don't see his skill level as very high. I think he has one or two shots that the throws and they're very basic. I'm not a crazy boxer but even for me, I see him as being slow... I don't feel the pressure for this... I think it's going to be easy."

While it remains to be seen whether Dillon Danis manages to outbox KSI, the YouTuber's prior experience in the ring might make this an interesting contest for combat sports fans.
